Yes, the game isn’t perfect but it’s a lot of fun.

Sacred 3 doesn’t do a whole lot wrong other than having lackluster writing. However, as has always been the case with the series, the action is very standard. There’s not a great deal of depth, but if you want to spend a few hours hacking and slashing your way through hordes of enemies, you could do a lot worse.

Calling Sacred 3 a desecration might be a bit harsh but the new direction this series has taken is questionable at best. It’s a decent but overtly simple action RPG. Probably not the sequel Sacred fans were waiting for. [Aug 2014, p.61]

Considering the scope of its predecessors and how far the genre has come since the series’ inception a decade ago, that’s as unnecessary as it is unwelcome. Still, there’s potential here and approached with the right mindset and a group of friends there’s some fun to be had. Streamline your expectations, in other words, and you’re more likely to view Sacred 3 as slick rather than shallow.

Sacred 3 could’ve been a very good game, but it falls short on many levels. The co-op mode can be fun for a couple of hours if you play with a buddy, but there’s a big chance you’re already bored by the awful humor and cliché story. Sacred 3 is far from a worthy sequel to the series.

Sacred 3 is a very mediocre role-playing game. It’s not the looks and even the gameplay has its moments. It’s the fact that there’s little content, and the content that is present feels bland. The porting to pc is handled poorly as well. Furthermore, Sacred 3 tries to be funny, but unfortunately isn’t.

Sacred 3 has the skeleton of a fun co-op hack 'n' slash experience, but it's marred by too much repetition, balance issues, and the worst comedy routine this side of Open Mic Night at the Middle of Nowhere Comedy Shack.

First couple of hours, this game is definetly different then it's predecessors. But in a good way in my opinion.

It focuses on action and hack'n slash rather than endless grinding. Mosr people will not like this idea, but I love it. I don't have as much time as I used to have, this game packs a punch in little amounts of time.

The voice overs are nicely done. The game has a good sense of humor. Graphics, physics and animations are slick and smooth.

There is another thing that might bother most people. This game is designed for consoles. Meaning it's better played with a controller. But I have one, I finished D3 on x360 so I had no problem getting used to controlls.

What I understand is this game is not open world. It's more like an action game where you go thru chapters rather than running all the time around. This might again upset a lot of people, but I don't mind the change. Hype of the action takes all the attention, I realised I don't want another running simulator.

I might update my review since I didn't finish the game yet. But for now my score is 7 out of 10. It's definetly a great game, but if you were expecting huge grinds, it seems you won't find it here. This game is more like an action game, rather than an rpg. An action-rpg wtith action side coming forward.

Instead of a conventional review, I'll sum it up in a few points:

    1) This game has nothing to do with the franchise "Sacred", except in name. I don't know why they even decided to use the same name.
    2) It was clearly designed to be played on a joystick. Trying to play on the PC without the use of an analog joystick is an exercise in frustration. The WASD control doesn't work well at all.
    3) The game isn't so much an RPG, but more an action game with some RPG elements. A great comparison would be Dead Island: Epidemic - even though this game is far below in quality.
    4) The game is extremely linear. You advance, gets stuck in an area where you defeat a series of (repetitive) enemies, the path is cleared, you advance, and everything repeats again and again.
    5) The graphics, sounds and music are nice. But the voices are annoying.
    6) Becomes tedious. Fast.

How dare you calling this Sacred 3. I was really looking forward to the game I used to love, but better graphics, new quests, even heroesHow dare you calling this Sacred 3. I was really looking forward to the game I used to love, but better graphics, new quests, even heroes maybe. This is very disappointing, obviously made for a console, lacking everything I knew from previous games, and loved. If it was just called something else I might have given it a 4 but not to Sacred sequel. Expand
