The Forgotten Sands is more than just a return to form for a long-running franchise: it's also one of the most gratifying platforming epics to come along in ages. [Aug 2010, p.90]

The waffly plot, so-so action and unlovable Prince taint some ace platforming. [July 2010, p.92]
  3. In no way is it a genuine Prince of Persia for this generation (we prefer to forget the 2008 title), but it does offer something that's a little more challenging on the mind and reflexes than the typical third-person action/adventure.

Just don't expect it to do more than tread water in anyway whatsoever and you won't be disappointed.
  5. The prince's high-flying adventure is marred by camera issues and weak combat, but the excellent platforming is still loads of fun.
  6. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is in many ways a very unassuming title; it slinked onto the scene with relatively little fanfare and has had few expectations placed on it by gaming fans, many of whom will likely dismiss it as 'just another Prince of Persia' or (at worst) a shoddy movie tie-in.
  7. Putting aside the context, the game itself is a big disappointment.

From start to finish this game impresses from game play to graphics to basically everything else. The final boss fight (not going to give away any spoilers) was one of the best things I have ever seen in any game, it combined the great combat and platforming the series is well known for perfectly. The new powers the Prince has in the Forgotten Sands also add a lot to the game and a linear but good story line also is also present here. The only problem in the game was that it was short, it is approximately a 9 hour game, depending on how good you are at figuring out puzzles (which are amazing in this game). Saying that I just recommend this game would be an understatement, this is one of my favourite games of all time. Expand

The newest entry to theAn amazing platformer with some average combat is what I could say to shorten this review down by a lot, but i'm not. The newest entry to the Prince Of Persia series lives up to all expectations, climbing is tense and is a satisfying core gameplay mechanic, combat see's you take on lots of enemy's in one go, the story is pants and it overall feels like a solid game. Like I said climbing and using your ability's to smoothly over-come obstacles that normal humans would find impossible is brilliant fun. But unfortunately as the name suggests the game was soon forgotten despite how awesome it actually is. It had little problems yes, such as the combat being not as good as say Assassins Creed and the story was quite dull, but it is a very good game worthy of every pound and pence. Expand

Everything looks too primitive, poor combat system and parkour, same with "puzzles". And main problem for me is WHY the hell player movement is that goddamn slow? omg, I almost fell asleep while running in this game, its not supposed to be like that in an action slasher game. I dropped my walkthrough, this is too painful Expand
