   This game is so awesome, this is exactly the legendary game available on PS4 & PS5.
   Remastered and upscaled to 4k makes you wonder how didThis game is so awesome, this is exactly the legendary game available on PS4 & PS5.
   Remastered and upscaled to 4k makes you wonder how did they get the graphics to be that good 20 years ago on PS2. Gameplay is the star here, once you start playing you're hooked even if you have to get up to do something you just can't put that controller down. It's so addictive that it charms you in a way only dark alliance can. One of the most important games in video games history and especially in relation of how they make new games these days. Perfect D&D RPG dungeon crawler and the most complete couch co op game of all times, definitely a 10/10 love it!… Expand

   I was hoping for some more action RPGs to come to the Xbox back compat, unfortunatly not one of the origional amazing games of this type fromI was hoping for some more action RPGs to come to the Xbox back compat, unfortunatly not one of the origional amazing games of this type from the OG xbox made the cut..This is one of the best though and if it did come to back compat it would have still been 4:3 and 30fps, this little remaster give us one of the best dungeon crawlers at 4K 60fps in wide screen. These old games just simply upscaled and fps boosted are gorgeous to me. I love SnowBlind Studios games.. Ive been playing
   Baldurs Gate
   Justice League Heroes
   Champions Of Norath 1 and2
   LOTR War in the North
   All their games,, consistantly for 2 decades. I love their stuff. The way they make their combos flow, the interesting level design, their pacing and progression that keeps the player engaged from begining to end.. And the way they used the hardware to get the best feeling in combat. This is a perfect port, imo 4K 60 on PS4 pro.. Stable performance and most importantly "" NO Censorship"".. This is the exact game we got on OG Xbox running and looking modern.
   Awsome work by SQUARE ONE studuios,, this is what a modern port should be, except with the rumble odd course..
   The game its self is the definitive perfect action RPG. Sure the North games surpassed BG DA in most ways, but this was the furst and most iconic. They dont make games like this anymore. Tuning out and falling into the rythem of grinding and leveling your character is what… Expand

   Control's are responsive and the dated graphics are not at all distracting. In fact considering this is a 20 yr old game the graphics are pretty good.

   I own this game on PS2. Love it. Wish I could play it on my PS4 or PS5. But, I am told, nobody uses backwards compatibility. Why not, instead,I own this game on PS2. Love it. Wish I could play it on my PS4 or PS5. But, I am told, nobody uses backwards compatibility. Why not, instead, charge me $30 to play my old game on a new system? Makes perfect business sense. I mean, nobody uses backwards compatibility...but if one were to charge me $30 for the opportunity to play my old game...now you have my attention! $30 to play an old game you say? Sign me up. What's $30 dollars? Its nothing. $30. For one old game. But backwards compatibility...are you nuts? It's a useless feature. Nobody would use it. Unless we could spend $30 for the privilege...to play one old game. Please, take my money.
   
   PS2 Game = 9/10.
   $30 PS4 Game = 1/10.
   My Rant = 6/10

   I didn't really remember why I loved this game this much as it was so simple and linear but said "Meh...I played the heck out of it back then,I didn't really remember why I loved this game this much as it was so simple and linear but said "Meh...I played the heck out of it back then, there must be a reason..."
   
   Edit : The fun factor didn't last longer than 1-2 brain numbed evenings after all...
   I would still recommand it but wait for a rebate/sale, not worth 40$ca.
   
   After launching it up a couple of times it got me again playing "Just one more checkpoint" before i hit the sack...
   
   Finally stretching it out 2-3 hours going to bed almost by early morning!!
   
   Something about this game is mesmerizing, almost mind numbing...
   
   It's not a particularly amazing game but it looks like your brain just don't want to put it down once you start playing...… Expand
