  1. 11:11 reveals a true musical and sonic expansion without Rodrigo y Gabriela losing sight of their strength as an acoustic duo. Awesome.
  2. 11:11 is another winning showcase of exotic instrumental brilliance.

The sixth Dublin-based Mexican metalheads is an awesome thing in which every trick in the jard-rock manual is applied to the duo's Latin rhythms and acoustic wizardry. [Oct 2009, p.107]
  4. All in all, it's a pleasure to listen to. However, if guitar leads devoid of vocals is not your thing, then this is going to become background music very quickly.
  5. If you’ve ever been enticed by Spanish guitar, here’s your rock’n’roll introduction.
  6. While casual fans may miss the novelty of the duo’s more familiar classic-rock covers, these 11 originals show the duo expanding its sonic palette.

Thier first albun of entirely self-penned instrumentals should finally see an end of [the world music tag], the fluid yet percussive tunes also impossibly nimble. [Oct 2009, p.116]
  8. 50
Mainly they noodle through indeterminate world-music jams that’d feel equally ignorable at mud festivals and at ethnic restaurants.
  9. The best tracks include Hunaman, Buster Voodoo and Chac Mool, but all feature the remarkable interplay between the two guitarists.
  10. Fizzing with unbridled energy, 11:11 is an ideal musical pick-me-up.

Good record from the Mexican guitar wizards which never disappoints. The guitar playing is sublime as usual and its something you could listenGood record from the Mexican guitar wizards which never disappoints. The guitar playing is sublime as usual and its something you could listen to in the background all day. However the instrumental nature of the duo mean the style is limited and at the times its easy to get lost in where you are with the record. It can be a litte repetitive but in a groove kind of way. If you appreciate your guitar playing and are into instrumental albums, then its likely you'll really enjoy this. Full Review »
