  1. After more time than anyone from either camp will be inclined to give it, the album takes on a compelling, sui generis sonic identity, at least for someone from the blues side.

It's intriguing and at times vaguely unsettling.

A hip-hop blues record is an interesting concept and in Koala's nimble hands, a unique listening experience.
  4. These are tipsy juke-joint stompers with feeling in their heart as well as dust in their grooves.

Kid Koala might be known for his light-hearted approach, but nothing here feels inappropriately kooky.

12 Bit Blues is an enjoyable record and an exciting addition to Kid Koala's catalog.

Oddly, for an album inspired by the blues, there's not much misery, and what vocals are there get looped and treated beyond storytelling. [Oct 2012, p.103]

One of the best album of 2012!! Kid Koala is perfect !! This is a modern reinterpretation of very vintage blues.
    Upbeat or downtempo and a
few moment he's really haunting mood!! And a great mention for the packages, it's really nice!! Expand
