    This is straight-up fight music. 2017 - 2019 isn't quite this lairy elsewhere, but most of it is jagged, hard-hitting and seriously over-driven. The change has Jaar sounding artistically replenished.

    2017 - 2019 has been rendered more purposefully than its predecessor, each track flowing into the next. It presents an identity for Against All Logic that transcends the previous mid-tempo crowd-pleasers, one that’s unafraid to draw from various club subgenres while injecting Jaar’s customary washed-out tape atmospheres.

Nació en New York pero creció en Chile, Nicolas es muy bien conocido en la atmósfera Electronic de los clubs más exclusivos y lujosos de Estados Unidos y sus trabajos con el alias "A.A.L." le han dado mucha popularidad. En "2017 - 2019" Nicolas explora un sonido y ritmo industrial y militar, pues hay mucha fuerza de poder casi político que suena como la marcha de un mastodonte cargando una mochila llena de inspiraciones, memorias, inconformidad, sensibilidades y decisión. Producido por él mismo, este álbum es una ingeniosa electrónica que le da sensibilidad al poder y soluciona las impotencias espirituales con ritmos tranquilos, bailables y agradables a la meditación y el movimiento.

Nicolas Jaar is always pushing the boundaries, this is a great addition to his catalogue. The first 3 tracks are beautiful soulful house bangers. The next 3 are gnarly, hard hitting, grating dance tracks, and the final 3 are beautiful ballads. Such a sick project.… Full Review »
