Aug 21, 2019Solid album, with a number of slick pop rock gems (Shelf, One Man Show, Got Me Going Crazy), their ubiquitous funk hit "Burnin' Up", the title track, as well as "Love bug", which proved to be one of their more enduring songs.

Nov 28, 2012This album is good for what it is. The Jonas Brothers, as a boy band "created" by Disney, have grown up very fast and with this cd they reach unbelievable things. Music is good, lirycs too and they still have that "sex appeal" that just make teens buy their music.

D.S.Sep 19, 2009Talentless and soulless. Ultra mainstream music made only for the music industry. Notice how all the user reviewers who gave this a ten are obnoxious girls.

AndrewE.Sep 7, 2009Oh come on! This is Jonas Brothers.

GaryH.Aug 23, 2009A surprisingly good album that will keep teenagers or 8-year-olds smiling their asses off.

StuieMMay 30, 2009The Jonas Brothers are like marijuana. People go on and on about how good it is but its not. This music really sucks and like pot it just leads you to more sh*t that you shouldn't be interested in. Disney is a lifeless soul sucking company. They should be ashamed for corrupted Americas youth.

AmandaC.Feb 24, 2009Not perfect but certainly great! There are some great songs on this album and it's definitely different from their first self-titled album. I liked it alot!

TerribleMusicDec 31, 2008All those who buy any of this brain washing music are helping bring down the intelligence of human kind. What is worse is that these future parents will be passing along this garbage and teaching their kids to like it. Kinda like fast food eats away at your health, Jonas Brothers eat away at the brain and reduce cognitive functioning. God help us all (or Flying Spaghetti Monster if you prefer).

JoanNOct 3, 2008They're just like every other boyband we've seen over the years. Making some tallentless songs just for girls to suck up on them, leaving every man ashamed of what teenage girls are listening to. These guys are one hit wonders.

-
CaptainObviousSep 29, 2008Utterly deplorable... A slapdash mish-mash of cacophonic and discordant sounds that should never, ever be called music. Do your self a favor; listen to real music (i.e., metal).

jazminehSep 21, 2008I LOVE the jonas brothers, but I wouldn't give their cd a 10, because while alot of them like "sorry" and "a little bit longer" are great songs, it seems like they just sing about one thing in all of their songs-girls-except for in "a little bit longer ofcourse". I love the songs, I just wish they would vary in song topics.

JackS.Sep 15, 2008I really regret listening to them...i just wanted to get a opinion on them but afterwards i have to say that this was a huge mistake, the songs are repetitive, simple and boring, little girls will love it i guess.

SelenaJ.Aug 25, 2008Each dong on this album has a great beat and lyrics that really mean something, they are not just another sugar coated pop group, these boys really have some talent. The youngest brother Nick once again blows minds with his exceptional voice. I give this album a 10 out of 10. I most definately cannot stop listening.

DylanD.Aug 24, 2008These guys are boring and repetitive. The definition of one hit wonders, and they are lucky to get that one hit.

GrantC.Aug 19, 2008Terrible music. No other way to describe it.

PrincessV.Aug 19, 2008Their CD Rocks!!!! I love their music and not just because they're hot. I love the song A Little Bit Longer. I think it is definitely worth buying!

-
HarrisK.Aug 17, 2008These guys plain suck. Their songs are boring and repetative. The lead singer puts way too much strain in his voice. They're only big because of their looks.

Awards & Rankings
-
It's unfortunate that much of their sophomore effort is submerged in an ocean of heavy-handed production, so deep that the boys' natural talents struggle to break the surface.
-
Entertainment WeeklyIt's a nice run of numbers that really gets going with 'Shelf,' an impassioned advisory not to leave the singers' hearts in the titular location. [15 Aug 2008, p.64]
-
The boys' fantastic third album is steeped in the fuzzed-up guitars, three-part harmonies and cotton-candy choruses of Big Star and Cheap Trick.
