  1. Bundy's music may not always sound like that of country legends like Parton or Loretta Lynn, but she shares with those women a clear understanding of how to create both well-crafted music and an artistic persona over the course of a set of songs.

When she's not overdoing the cutesy shrillness, Bundy's got potential, but it's hard not to wonder if this country-singer thing is just another of her characters. [14 Apr 2010, p.72]
  3. It’s the first half of the album that is more substantive and memorable.
  4. Bundy's obvious affection for feisty predecessors like Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton adds an appealing jolt to the music's already clever hooks and personal narrative. But what Bundy still needs to develop are the durable melodies and lyrical nuance that turned those artists' compositions into classics.
  5. "Giddy On Up" is on the shakin' side, which is the weaker half, chaotic and a little glib... The achin' set of songs forces Ms. Bundy to exhale, revealing a lovely voice with alluring nooks and crannies that need no adornment.
