The music on this feisty, funny rap album isn't new--just irresistible.
-
Perhaps All Citys most pleasing triumph, for fans of Northern States earlier stuff, is that the colloquial character of the Hesta and co.s voices is in no way diluted by the more polished music accompanying it.
-
On All City, Northern State does what visionary rap acts have done throughout the genre's history: It re-creates hip-hop in its own image, molding it into a potent vehicle for singular aspirations, anxieties, and dreams.
-
There are occasional lapses in the lyrics department.
-
