With American Ride, Willie Nile joins their ranks and proves he can do it just as well as the best of them, sometimes better--Springsteen included.

Occasionally slightly Gallic, but consistently intoxicating, it's a trip definitely worth taking. [Aug 2013, p.103]

The title track of Willie Nile's "American Ride" evokes a lovely, pleasant feeling of comfort like being buoyed by a warm, gentle breezeThe title track of Willie Nile's "American Ride" evokes a lovely, pleasant feeling of comfort like being buoyed by a warm, gentle breeze that never fails to evoke a smile.
But don't expect to get TOO relaxed.
"American Ride" is a roller-coaster deftly winding Nile's array of achingly beautiful songs and biting social commentary through a solid structure of great, new-fashioned rock and roll.
The musical diversity throughout this album is very satisfying and appealing.
It's the best effort yet by this big-hearted, live-wire of an artist, who's earned a well-deserved cult following around the globe.
We can't wait to see what's around the corner on this continuing American Ride.
