Listening to Anicca is like watching the sunlight burst through a stained glass window: everything you hear is bathed in light; warm, soft-focused notes swirl together in a wash of colour – the perfect soundtrack to brighten any setting.

Anicca's luminous take on electronica shows Mandowa still prioritises quality over quantity and features some stellar collaborators. [Dec 2019, p.114]

A sense of nearly parental patience and understanding flows throughout, reflecting some of the maturation and new feelings Teebs was living through while making Anicca. It's another excellent slice of the producer's developing language, one that manages to be mellow without fading into the background.

There’s constant movement here, and while everything is lovely, nothing lingers too long or lends itself to stasis.

Everything Teebs touches here is so soft, so slight, so marvelous. Fortunately he decided to let some room to other artists as Panda Bear, Anna Wise or daydream Masi who manage to bring even more depth with their amazing vocal and/or electronic participation. Highly compelling but it somehow lacks grandiosity. The fact that many of the tracks end as if nothing happened bothered me. 'Anicca' is a terrific album for those contemplative and meditative sunday afternoons particularly if you enjoy genre-blending explorations and unpredictable journeys. Full Review »
