The real charm of this record comes in its additional moments of character; the spoken-word interruptions (‘Do Something’) or soundbite introductions (‘She Wants Me Now’) which somehow tie the album together even more tightly.

The riffs of songs such as Wow!!!7am or Hey or Do Something are strong enough, but the formula “riff, primitive bash of drums, bellowed chorus” wears thin pretty quickly.

From the poorly thought out lyrics to the day-glo “punk” cover and the calls to revolution that ring hollower with every listen, this is an album that flatters to deceive.

Their roots are mainly in hardcore punk and that definitely shines through in their music, and they've fused all these influences into new, unique styles. Tracks like "The Hunter" and "Do Something" best represent their capabilities and showcase their enormous energy. I'm really enjoying what this duo is doing and I'm certainly hyped up for their second album which is getting released at the end of this month, Full Review »
