Songs giving hype vibes and moody vibes with "Astrothunder", "Yosemite" and "Wake Up", this album has a song for everyone.

Astroworld expands further upon the feature list of his other albums with features from Frank Ocean, Drake, Swae Lee, Juice WRLD, Sheck Wes, The Weeknd, 21 Savage, Gunna, NAV, Quavo, Takeoff, and new label mate Don Toliver, the feature list is a all-star list from everyone. Producers also did a wonderful good with multiple producers such as Sonny Digital, Tay Keith, Thundercat, Pharrell Williams, Wondagurl, Cubeatz, and Murda Beatz, all tracks are vivid and given their own theme.

Astroworld is wonderful, amazing and feels like a trip to a theme park for one last time.

Trap isn't really my thing, I mostly listen to lyrical rap, but this album surprised me with how much I enjoyed it. Even the tracks I though were pretty "eh" all had some redeeming qualities. Don't get why I enjoyed this so much, but not Rodeo, I'll have to give it a relisten.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This album has exectly what people wanted to listen to in 2018, a very catchy album for its time, but now, 3 years later, it doesn’t have that much replay value, for me at least. Didn’t age very well but I still vibe really hard with it from time to time when any song from it plays while on shuffle. Expand

super good album, Yosemite sucks ass but this album is amazing, it's quite consistent, the second half does have a bit of a dip. Overall it's not better than Rodeo but still very good

Travis creates a beautiful and dark image of the "astroworld" he grew up with, filled with melodic swings and well-crafted vocals Travis does an excellent job.

For all the fans of Travis' previous work, this album really went well with them. But Travis had teased before the album's release that we could expect some heavy rapping. The truth is that the album had something everyone. For lyrical listeners, tracks like Coffee Bean and Yosemite delivered in a deeper way while tracks like Stargazing, NC-17 and Sicko Mode were for those who wanted something to bump in their car. Now if you listened closely, you would have found that the instrumentals throughout the album were very interesting and extremely audibly pleasing. All in all, La Flame's experimentation really paid off and all together, this album had enough to shatter peoples' expectations. This is an album that will probably be remembered as one of Travis' best and one of the best hip-hop albums for a long time. Expand

Being so highly anticipated since 2016, Travis was expected to deliver a piece of art that represented himself and his hometown. After ‘Rodeo’ he released two “good” (subpar to his potential) joints; ‘Birds’ and ‘Huncho Jack’ - w/ Quavo, and these respective works were not on his expected level. So this led to ‘Astroworld’, his big moment to finally shine and show his true potential...
Not only does he pulls this off, he may have even outdone ‘Rodeo’. This album is straight brilliant. Career-defining tracks such as ‘Stop Trying to be God’, ‘Coffee Bean’ and even ‘Sicko Mode’. With exceptional features by The Weeknd and 21 Savage also backed up with solid ones too; Swae Lee, Drake, Don Toliver, Frank Ocean, Gunna and the incredible contributions from Kid Cudi and James Blake were outstanding. Travis really is the glue to one of his greatest artworks he’ll ever conjure

The album has been aging well, this is an important factor.

"ASTROWORLD" is one of the best hip-hop albums of the year. It is very well thought-out, very well-produced, Travis Scott's performance, vocal delivery, and lyricism are sharp and witty. Another highlight is the new chosen single "STOP TRYING TO BE GOD" which delivers a strong message.
Even though it may be a little overly long, there's no denying that "ASTROWORLD" is and always will be a defining point in Travis Scott's career forever.

From top to bottom this album demonstrates excellent, relaxing beats that are well paired with Travis Scott's voice. Though the lyrics do seem rather basic for a large part, they don't fail at what they are designed to do, that being giving you the feeling of relaxation.

Fire album. Disclaimer: I'm from Houston. Days before rodeo was my introduction to Travis Scott and I thought he was a mix of Kanye and Cudi back then which was my favorite type of sound in music. Astroworld though may be better than Rodeo for me. The different sounds, switches of beats mid song and vibe was awesome. Not to mention Travis really stepped up his flows and even spits some decent lyrics which is always a plus (although not a big deal) because I listen to Travis for moods and vibes. Tons of Houston references all over the place that I pick up which makes it even more appealing for me. The modulation and echo treatments on the vocals, combined with the frequently torpid tempos, nonetheless make Astroworld ideal for being pumped through an (18 and over) amusement park's sound system near closing time, when the challenge of hitting all the rides has started to turn into an overindulgent, overheated chore.

His third studio album, Astroworld, feels like the grand opening of a vision that took a half-decade to perfect, still using the same psychedelic synth warps, diamond-cut drums, and reptilian hooks that initially skyrocketed him to stardom.
