Each song on Ataraxia/Taraxis is diverse, with moments of melodious prog-rock, powerful riffs and hazy ambience; however, there's also cohesion to the EP that makes it feel expansive and utterly epic.

As a whole, Ataraxia/Taraxis is both an excellent EP and an optimistic glance into the music that Pelican is likely to put out on their next release.... It's concise, never boring, and it demands multiple listens.
