Great album from start to finish. This album is a variety of sounds and lyrics. It is one of the best of the year, frankly deserves a lot of recognition. I would say what is Post Malone's best work to date.

Overall enjoy the album. I usually enjoy the more pop produced side of Post and figured this album would overall be a step away from it. This is true for a portion of Austin. Those songs are definitely not bad and show the diverse talents of Post. I was surprised to hear the more pop heavy Novacandy and Speedometer. They are a totally different sound and are now in my top Post songs. Chemical grew on me and is 1 of the 3 5☆ star songs from my perspective. While I still prefer the sounds of Hollywood Bleeding and BeerBongs and Bentleys - I do appreciate this album overall. While there are no bad songs- I prefer the more upbeat positive sounds myself - there are a handful of songs on Austin that I would not have in my regular rotation. However on the flip side of that, I have 3 new songs in my all time Post Playlist.

Post Malone is one of my favorite artists but this album is a big swing and miss for me.

Overlong and steeped in melancholy. Very forgettable tracks. The album is basically "Love/Hate Letter to Alcohol" in long form. Thankfully no terrible guest appearances this time around which was Twelve Carat's only drawback. I'm sure at lot of people will appreciate the new musical direction.

If you’re expecting beerbongs or Stoney you will be disappointed. Post Malone has evolved as an artist and has dipped his toes in the synth pop genre while also keeping some of the same elements of his music that made him famous. Fun listen and a lot of catchy good songs that will grow on you over time.

This is the first time I give a complete opportunity to Post Malone, and I barely knew some songs from him; I was not sure what kind of music he actually makes. Now I realize he is kind of another pop artist that tries to be cool in the same music industry we already have a lot of. And I hope this doesn't sound too harsh, but he actually sounds exactly like Ed Sheeran, but he actually tries to take it a step further. So, yes, inside all of this there is nothing more than a fleeting pop that most likely will disappears and be forgotten when another Post Malone appears and appeals to the younger generations of united states.
I didn't like the way he merges some genres in here, but he sings nice, and his lyrics are generic for obvious reasons. Nothing new, but friendly enough to be something enough for enough time for him to claim his 15 something of fame.

A little unfortunate that Post seems to be regressing since Hollywood's Bleeding, but there are still some amazing tracks here, some of which are his best in a while.

I'll give this album a solid 9. As a Post Malone fan since pre-Stoney, I'll have to admit this album may not be for the casual posty fan. This takes a venture off the edgy and melodic "rap" genre and focuses on a collection of radio-friendly songs. This album will most likely have more longevity than the debut numbers may appear to show. My personal favorites are "Sign Me Up" and "Laugh it Off"

Over the past few weeks, I have been analyzing the success of Post Malone's latest album. It appears that the album has received mixed reviews, with many people feeling that it lacks substance and was made solely for the label's benefit.

In comparison to his earlier work, the general consensus is that Post Malone is attempting to reinvent his sound. However, it seems that his fans are not particularly receptive to this change. Songs such as "Better Now" were successful because they embraced his original style, rather than trying to force a new direction.

As I continue to examine the data, I am left with a question: why do artists feel the need to change when they already have a sound that works? It appears that Post Malone's desire to "evolve" may be the root cause of his latest album's lack of success.

Moving forward, I believe it is important for Post Malone to stay true to his original sound and embrace the elements that his fans love. By doing so, he can continue to evolve within his existing style and maintain his success.

Although always listenable, Austin soon gets tired and whiny.

He goes straight for the pop-rock formulae. This would have worked better over a shorter span, but yawning as it does on the same mid-tempo pacing means that tracks blur to filler and some good lines get lost in the sludge. The lack of guest vocalists doesn’t help either.

Melodic and heartfelt, Austin surprises at nearly every turn, whether that's by an unexpected sonic detour or the simple fact that Post Malone has never sounded this fearless.
