  1. In short, a few stray hiccups only gives a listener more reason to be excited for the next release.

Away from the World is a bit of a rare thing: a return to form lacking an ounce of nostalgia.

Restrained, moody and subtle. It has its big footprint moments, of course, and there's an audible ambition that gives the album a crackling if slow-burning energy.

  1. 20 years of sound combined for a really nice addition to the DMB catalog. Dave sings about love, his relationship with his fan base and the current state of the world in his eyes. The music behind the words is ambitious hitting multiple genres sometimes even on the same song. The only thing missing is Leroi Moore. Expand
  2. It´s more of the same... and in DMB´s case.... more of the same is always pretty damn good. i didn´t get the deluxe edition so i haven´t had the possibility to listen to the other tracks... even so, the album deliver what was promised - eleven tracks of rock/folk and somewhat jazzy tunes. DMB you did it again :) Expand
