That Dr. Dog has written some supremely catchy tunes isn't too surprising, but few would expect its (or any band's) fifth record to be every bit as exciting as its first.

  1. The songs and musicianship seem a bit more lively on Be the Void, the seventh LP by good-time rock 'n' roll band Dr. Dog. This seems to be somewhat of an underrated release, but time will fill the void for this Philadelphia-based band. Full Review »
  2. "Be The Void" - the seventh album of psychedelic, indie rock group Dr. Dog supposed to be a CD which reminiscent the live shows - energetic, loud and chaotic. 3. Classic album. All the charm of early Dr. Dog records is back on Be the Void, but with stellar-sounding production and a more confident feel. I really don't understand all the Beatles comparisons though. I guess if you are some 23 year old trust funded "music critic" who's only exposure to classic albums is trying to play the solo from "Taxman" on Guitar Hero, you might compare Dr. Dog to the Beatles. It has little to do with reality however. Full Review »
