  1. This one-off EP with singer-songwriter cum symphonist Sufjan Stevens and semiclassical drum'n'bassmaker Son Lux is different, because the primary function of his raps is to ground the beautiful musics his collaborators contribute.

An odd mix of personalities and musical styles, but somehow s / s / s works, and the result is something quite beautiful.

At four tracks and 18 minutes, Beak & Claw is over long before it starts to make any kind of sense--and the end result is as confounding as it is fascinating.

As it stands, Beak & Claw gets an A for effort but considerably lower marks for execution.

A little sloppy, but purposefully so. This short EP is different, odd, and quirky, containing a bunch of interesting and cool hooks. SomeA little sloppy, but purposefully so. This short EP is different, odd, and quirky, containing a bunch of interesting and cool hooks. Some might find it a little too odd, but that's because it isn't trying to be normal. It's just a small and simple project between three already established musicians. What came out of it is memorable whether you enjoy the memories or not. Expand
