The only thing on earth worse than living next to a landfill in the summer is this album. When I first heard Knocking Boots I was certain it would end up being the worst song ever released, but then Luke Bryan released One Margarita. The whole album from start to finish is absolute trash

Examines small-town origins, fatherhood, and matter of the heart with extra earnestness but few surprises. [Aug 2020, p.73]

Resistance to change is part of its allure, a charm that, like Bryan’s music, won’t work on everyone. But for all the Born Here Live Here Die Heres, there are worse places to spend a life.

He's content to remain firmly within the bounds of where he's always been. The album title may as well be referring to Bryan's artistic development.
