Our Cuban fairy Camila did an awesome job dropping this amazing album. I love the way we can feel all of her emotions through these incredible songs. My favorites so far are Something's Gotta Give, She Loves Control, In The Dark and Consequences. So, this is one of the best album I've heard EVER!

Good debut album. Kind of generic, commercial and similar. Her voice is gorgeous but still can improve. Some tracks are wonderful while others are not so good. Hope her next album is better. (Actually some songs such as Scar Tissue and Crying in The Club that are not on the album are better)
Never Be The Same 10/10(favorite track)
All These Years 9/10(vivid but mediocre) She Loves

Look, when I first heard this album, I thought it was great. You have to understand that I had looooow expectations when I went into it - I never liked Camila during her time in 5H. So the fact that I got songs that made me sing along put me on a high.

Now that I've slept on it and have gotten off that high, I think I can honestly say that this album is...good.

I can't say it's great. I can't even say it's ambitious. And I'm pretty sure I'm going to forget all these songs by February.

But I also can't say I didn't enjoy listening to this album. Some of them are bops; the remaining are piano or guitar ballads that I think have some good lyrics. There's no song that I actively hate - but there's no song I actively love, either.

I've been a little unfair to poor Camilla in the past. I don't like her voice, but that shouldn't be a problem if she had the tunes to back it up. Her voice is unique, and a lot of iconic singers became iconic because of their unique voices. Cyndi Lauper, for example. And some of these songs really compliment her voice. But then there are tracks like Never Be the Same that just...her voice is really grating at times.

My biggest problem with this album is how every song reminds me of another song from a different Top 100 artist. Inside Out basically reuses lyrics from The Chainsmokers, Into It sounds a lot like Sober by Lorde, and Never Be the Same will blend in perfectly with every other song on the radio. That doesn't bother me enough to hate it, but it does contribute to the whole 'forgettable' thing.

So while I wouldn't recommend this album simply because I don't find it interesting enough to recommend to anyone, I wouldn't say no if someone asked me if they should listen to it. I'd probably say maybe.

on and all, for a debut album camila really did the damn thing, she had 100 countries have her album go #1, joining the likes of ed sheeran, beyonce, taylor swift, and more. that is absolutely amazing, since it's her debut album. the album was also critically acclaimed, as you can see by looking at the other reviews by the critics.

if you want something to make you feel, i 100% think you should give it a listen, you won't be disappointed!

I was expecting more from Camila's album. compare to her former Groups album this is a disaster. Fifth Harmony by Fifth Harmony had soul and R&b influences alongside edm and pop sounds. Camila by Camila Cabello doesn't have a distinct sound. All of her tracks sound the same, besides Havana. I'm really disappointed with this album, I was expecting much more from her and her team.

-Never be the same: De lo mejor del disco. -All these years: Nada mal. -She loves

-She loves control: Primer batacazo del disco.
-Consequences: Balada simple e intrascendente.
-In the dark: Se soporta.

Not really my taste in music, but I'm just one person and there are still songs on this album I love. The album as a whole seemed like generic pop, and each song had little to no variety in sound. But the album still definitely has gems and was the perfect debut album for Camila.

It's a good album, but I feel that Camila wants became the New Rihanna, make hits, in front of your time. Camila would has more luck If run next to World latin, building your place, like the Shakira did. I believe If her try be a big popstar, like the Megan Trainor did, your career Will be short.

"Camila", with all its changes, delays, and ups-and-downs, was such a promising record, and it did deliver a lot of what was promised, just not quite everything. There's no denying the talent of the ex-Fifth-Harmony-member, whose vocals, a bit meddled with auto-tune (which, don't get me wrong, is a highlight), shine all through her debut record, but it's the filler-nature of a couple of"Camila", with all its changes, delays, and ups-and-downs, was such a promising record, and it did deliver a lot of what was promised, just not quite everything. When she was pushing back the release, Ms Cabello promised her fans it was because she "wanted every song to sound like a single", and that she did: there's no song on there that I couldn't imagine being played on the radio. The highlights are pretty clear here: 'Havana' is a huge bop, hence all the success it's getting, and 'Never Be The Same' is a very well-done pop track and a very enjoyable sing-along, 'All These Years' and 'Real Friends' are good laid-back tracks (that both sound a lot like Justin Bieber's 'Love Yourself', by the way), and 'Consequences' and 'Something's Gotta Give' are tender heartbreaking ballads (enlisting the help of Ed-Sheeran-peer co-writer Amy Wadge for the former). The instrumentation and the production all throughout the album are just excellent, leaning on a lot of latin-infused and raggaeton melodies, which work for Camila so not-surprisingly well. However, some other songs just feel... empty; it's not the production, nor the lyrics, nor the vocals, but they just sound like fillers (you might want to skip 'Inside Out' and 'In the Dark' altogether). Another flaw is closing the album with 'Into It', which is a very catchy Selena-Gomez-imprinted track, but that just doesn't fit as a closer to the record at all. In retrospect, maybe she shouldn't have scrapped 'I Have Questions' and 'OMG' (which were two truly powerful tracks).
That said, let's not forget that this is Camila's first record (which turned out to be pretty solid), and she's allowed to make a couple of mistakes here and there. However, the LP still feels so personal and genuine, and that is what matters the most.

"Camila" is short, sweet and light, but the best part about this album is that Cabello doesn't forget where she comes from. With the Latin influences sprinkled throughout every track, her pride in her culture is what sets her apart from other pop stars on the rise right now.

'CAMILA' is a great debut album. Camila has a good voice, although the pitch correction is over the top in a few places. Her voice brings a great smoothness to a lot songs like 'Havana,' and a nice melancholy to 'Real Friends'. The lyrics are good in places, but overall they are your run of the mill pop songs. The instrumentation is awesome in 'She loves control', 'inside out' and 'Somethings gotta give'. Although in other parts the instrumentation has a rushed and flimsy sound to it.

Overall I really enjoyed this album. It is a debut album, with an artist who is still trying to find who they are but its surprisingly cohesive for a debut. The best thing it does is give me hopes for the future.

It is impressive Camila Cabello’s performance in her debut. This Caribbean rhythm involves so many emotions and different feelings that I made me feel breathless. Through the 11-tracks, this album, for me, is perfect in some points, as production, vocals, the elements that envelop the feeling of excitement (She loves Control; All These Years) even the “little sad” tracks (Never Be theIt is impressive Camila Cabello’s performance in her debut. However, there are two weak points in this record, for example, Havana is an annoying track without purpose inside of this world, the classic pop music with a rapper wasting time and ruining the whole performance just being in a verse. And Real Friends that tired me before the end. The basic beach sound in the background did not with the excellent performance from Camila.

In the end, 2018 started with a good record. Thank you Camila to have postponed this album.

    It's good
I liked her style, it's not a masterpiece, but its good for a debut album. Some songs are really passionate made me have goosebumps, and i felt what i thought she was feeling while singing them, but at another part some songs are forgettable, and some songs lack good production behind it.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. If I had to describe "CAMILA" in just one word, I would choose, storytelling. Is like you're reading a book and each song is a different chapter.
There are Latin/Caribbean vibes on songs such as SLC and IO, which will definitely make your hips happy. But for me, the raw vocals, the simplistic but elegant production, and the poetic and highly relatable lyrics on C and SGG, take the album to another level.
Camila Cabello's vocals and lyrics have ability to trigger emotions you didn't even know existed.
Therefore, if you're gonna listen to CAMILA, which you definitely should, prepare yourself for an emotional roller-coaster. It will make you smile, it will make you dance, it will make cry, and most importantly, it will make you remember.

“Never Be the Same” proves that Cabello doesn’t need a mammoth voice. The love-is-a-drug lyric she’s singing is dumb, but she sells it so joyfully that you don’t even notice, and its wonderfully breathy, high-register hook ensures “Havana” won’t be her last solo hit.

While Cabello stands out on the more fiery tracks, she also shines in subtlety.
