Not as fun as I was hoping it would be, but still enjoyable. Beautiful album cover also :-D

She's been hanging out with Lenny too much now her music has gotten as bad as his always was. ladies and gentlemen this has all been done before and a heck of a lot better then this.

The album is very good, with excellent rhythm, melody, and funk. The abc's theme in "Till I get to you" is a little annoying, but the other songs really make up for it. I look forward to seeing her in concert, as she is Excellent.

A disapointment after her last record and the long wait. I love this girl but the songs just dont stand up. The ommission of "I dont think we've met" is idiotic

Really lost her mastery of funk/pop on this one. There are a couple moments that give me hope that she'll get it back. But buy any songs you like on iTunes.

like all great albums they must be listened to beyond the instore click through. this album is amazing, real to the core. her lyrics tell stories like no other and she is carving her our path. even if the industry doesn't support her now they will soon come around to the world she has created.

'Can'tneverdidnothin'' is a masterpiece-and like most masterpieces, it's ahead of it's time, and most people probably won't be able to fully appreciate it until a great deal of time after the fact. It's Nikka raw-just like it should be. GO GET IT!!

Good album solid effort, but have to agree with marvin, i saw her on jay leno, she is awesome live, plus she is a super hotty which would probably up her live performance to like an 11 out 10, def one of the best r & B albums of 2005 hands down.

The album is perfect... I see nothing wrong with it. But this woman is so much better live than on record. The energy she pours when she's singing up on a stage does not compare to simply listening to her on a stereo. Which speaks tons about her talent because the album in itself is just amazing, if maybe not as good as Everybody Got Their Something... But still a gem to be treasured The album is perfect... Enjoy, sweat it out and swing it around! Expand

  1. It's the kind of splashy, impassioned, infectious record that could make Nikka Costa a star -- maybe not on the level of Prince or Madonna, maybe more like Lenny Kravitz, but a star nonetheless.

Full of screeching, hollering, and contrived "yo' mama" jive talk. [27 May 2005, p.141]
  3. Understated pop funk that breeds cheap thrills but not enough songs.
