  1. Positive: 6 out of 9
  2. Negative: 0 out of 9
  1. If their debut sounded like they listened to nothing but the sounds in their heads and tried to recreate them, this sounds like all they've listened to over the past two years is their own records, and subsequently tried to better them. They've succeeded.
  2. They may be Pivot no more, but they're turning heads – and for all the right reasons.
  3. PVT more than carries the Warp Records torch, matching the label for restless reinvention and invigorating energy. Consider Church With No Magic, like Warp itself, a mix of high art and pop songcraft, music that will make you nod your head both to the beat and to a sense of real intrigue and admiration.
  4. Good stuff, but their epics, like 'The Quick Mile', are curiously unengaging. When that track is immediately followed up by the captivating Eno-esque minimalism of 'Waves & Radiation', it's clear that their real talent still lies in crafting eerie electronic vistas.
