  1. It's frustrating to imagine how much more power Crow could amp up by tattering the edges of her best songs and avoiding the crowd-pleasing delicacy that makes her sound like a Sheryl Crow cover band. Led by Bob Seger.

It's not perfect by any means, and having two of the weakest tracks in pole positions doesn't help. [May 2002, p.98]

Crow still rocks. [Apr 2002, p.111]
  4. No dolt, she figures it's in her best interest to sound like one--as well as an insider outsider like Gush and Bore, whose horrible lessons in playing it safe she takes to heart.
  5. Though she's a master of the explosive chorus, too much of C'Mon C'Mon sounds calculated around that talent, dropping hooks into otherwise unremarkable songs.
  6. A drab and depressingly familiar proposition.
  7. Uncut

Crow sounds as if she's trying too hard to show us that all she still wants to do is have some fun. [May 2002, p.91]

One great song (Steve McQueen). The rest is mediocre-to-wretched.

Wow. It's amazing, coz first I loved all of the singles. Then I finally heard the whole disc and now I hate the singles and love Wow. It's amazing, coz first I loved all of the singles. Then I finally heard the whole disc and now I hate the singles and love everything else. "It's So Easy" is tragically beautiful, written through the eyes of a a woman in love with a married man, "It's Only Love" tells of her broken heart when the man dumps her. It's a story, really. The story of a helpless romantic woman who's looking for love in all the wrong places. "Abilene", the best track on the album, is inspiring. Full Review »

If you wanna have some fun, "Soak up the sun", if you wanna shout and scream, "steve mqueen" and if your heart is broken too, "Over you." You can listen to it any time, good mood or bad, and there will be a song to cheer you up. Some of Sheryl's best work to date, this album features some heart rendering songs about broken hearts, but this, seemingly, is what Sheryl does best! 10/10. She's proved yet again that she definately has what it takes to be a rock legend! Full Review »
