ColleGrove peaks when it stumbles onto potential hits off sheer energy but it never sparks the same fervor that songs about their old stomping grounds could.

It meshes the two rappers’ sensibilities seamlessly, proving them kindred spirits all along.

It's a casual, tossed-off affair, although one filled with mutual admiration, riveting one-upmanship, and a glorious journey across the hip-hop production spectrum, from Mannie Fresh to Metro Boomin.

When Collegrove is good, it's very good. Unfortunately, it's tough to hear this project as anything but a crude marketing move to keep both rappers relevant until their next solo projects.

This album has some of the best rap around--but you'll have to be willing to look for it.

ColleGrove isn’t necessarily a letdown but doesn’t exactly exceed expectations. There are some moments of brilliance from both sides but overall, a collaboration of this magnitude should have stronger replay value across more songs.

All in all this project comes up very short. Lil Wayne is simply not what he used to be, and 2 Chainz leaves much to be desired.

All points were hit straight on the head with 2 Chainz, he really pushes him self to show his intellectual ability as a rapper unlike ever before. As far as a typical "Money and Women" record goes, this is the best you can get. Expand

Damn this was weak. The beats were not hittin' on anything. All sound as if they were high when they made them and said "This sounds sweet"Damn this was weak. The beats were not hittin' on anything. All sound as if they were high when they made them and said "This sounds sweet" then enever listened to them again...cuz' they're sh*t.....I mean, Bounce the single from this is nice. But out of all of this, thats the only one i liked. I mean, Lil Wayne's verses sound as though he made them the same time he made his last LP where Lil Wayne is Autotuning everything. I mean, WTF?! Then as 2 Chains bores us with this style and lulls us to sleep with his 1/2 of track, Lil Wayne disappoints. Nuff said, I don't want this sh*t Expand
