    The way this band turns well-used Americana sounds into something frightening is impressive. It's like hearing a loved one's voice when you know that you're alone, scarier in its way than any unfamiliar sound.

    Cautious listeners should be warned that this is a very dark and strange album, but wrap your head around the dissonance and general creepiness and you discover one of the more startlingly original takes on 60s rhythm and blues ever put down to disc.

    Their sound is truly their own, and it has a happy place in my record collection. "Happy" may not be appropriate for Creep on Creepin' On,Their sound is truly their own, and it has a happy place in my record collection. "Happy" may not be appropriate for Creep on Creepin' On, though... grinning, absolutely, devilishly grinning. As am I when I put this on.
