By combining the ragged, sloppy riffs of garage rock with the minor scales of death rock and darker music, the band create a haunting sound that also rocks the hell out.
  2. Mar 11, 2013
Crusher has a way of alternating organically between pop songs and darker stuff without sounding inconsistent.

Whether acting the ranting wild man (“IV”) or the depressed New Waver (“No Fear”), Wahlfeldt draws you into his dark world with a knowing smile that says it’s not necessarily a bad place to be.
  4. Mar 11, 2013
Crusher shows that Grave Babies know how to get down with some morbid music, all in the name of good, clean fun.
  5. Despite the thimble of predictability or aural similarity, Wahlfeldt has accomplished in Crusher an interesting take on familiar sounds. It’s too fuzzed out to just be post-punk, too sparse to just be a home-recorded take on his alt-rock idol.
