  1. Each song is snappy, playful, and stylish, and that's what makes Dancing with Daggers work so well.
  2. Bountiful melodies were promised on The Constant Lover. On Dancing with Daggers, the band delivers, and with greater sonic oomph.
  3. They've developed an impressive sense of craft, and it seems they can only go up from here.
  4. Urb
    70
Short with no filler, Daggers isn't revolutionizing rock, but noticeably stands out among its sonic peers. [Apr 2006, p.88]
  5. Magnet
    70
Taut, catchy songs ripe with beginner's pluck. [#71, p.105]
  6. In small doses it’ll absolutely cure what ails you. Unfortunately, taken in one album-sized chunk, the effect tends to wear thin—a doubly damning criticism since Dancing With Daggers is only ten seconds shy of being thirty minutes long.
  7. Uncut
    60
Their debut's brevity and sharp hooks suggest a band with an acute sense of purpose. [Aug 2006, p.100]
  8. Under The Radar
    50
Suffers from grungy overtones, a muddy sound, and vocals that are somehow, at once, both nasal and guttural. [#13, p.97]
  9. Aside from a couple tracks with standout hooks (Wild Gardens, The Better Plan), their songs are forgettable.

Reminds me of Eisley meets Hole, and I mean this in a good way. At under 30 minutes, the album is too short.
