  1. Every song has a lovely flow, with a steady cadence and easy accessibility that no fan of poppy indie rock will want to do without.
  2. Death in the Garden Blood on the Flowers is summer fare of the highest order in the sense that even if you love this record you won’t be listening to it in October when the days are short and chill.
  3. Under The Radar

Their songs of love and longing are set to impeccable melodies of pop bliss. [#13, p.86]
  4. Los Angeles Times

This could be the Beach Boys scoring a Hitchcock movie. [2 Apr 2006]
  5. A true alternative potpourri -- quite refreshing in a day and age where more often than not, rock bands stick closely to a single style/approach.
  6. Paste Magazine

An admitted throwback, but cool regardless. [Jun/Jul 2006, p.131]

    Emo/indie/pop rock for people who don't like emo/indie/pop rock. [Mar 2006, p.123]
  8. Irving's penned a batch of songs that can hold your interest in short bursts but will never inspire arguments. And that's damnation for pop music.

Fantastic record. Gorgeous melodies, fuzzy 80's synths, funny, dark lyrics. Easily the most fun album of the year.
