AndrewA.Jun 12, 2008Agree with Leroy and Chris. Road to Rouen was innovating and inspired, this is just a step back. It's not badly done though, but Supergrass has done it better in the past.

ThomaB.May 1, 2008Awesome, although there are many songs I do not like.

MichaelS.May 1, 2008Great album, better than Road to Rouen which I liked too. One tip though - give it more than one listen!

ChrisB.Apr 29, 2008I totally agree with Leroy B. I thought Road to Rouen was a lovely piece of work and was really looking forward to this. Unfortunately some of the tunes on here are less memorable some on their self titled third album. Disappointed. Change the direction back to Rouen !

JohnApr 22, 2008I agree with Greg. I'm not sure what many of the critics were listening to or what they know about the band. This is a great album and easily ranks amongst their best work. The only proviso is that it takes a few listens to sink in but your patience will be rewarded, believe me. If the world was fair, these guys would be global superstars.

GregApr 18, 2008Did these critics even listen to the album? I'm hard pressed to imagine a single weak track on this entirely cohesive and entertaining album.

You get the feeling that, in the long run, Diamond Hoo Ha is destined to be remembered as one of the lesser works in their canon.
-
Overall, it’s a brash, shiny, confident record, careering along on a second wind, or as one jaunty number puts it, “the return of inspiration.”
-
Their sixth collection is broad, bouncy and almost entirely forgettable.
