    Digital Resistance might be older and wiser, a transmission from a lifer, but that not a quest out of which they’ve aged.

    Slough Feg have always been the heavy metal equivalent of Guided By Voices (minus the supernatural prolificity), and Digital Resistance does little to tarnish that reputation, as it plays as fast and loose with the genre as it does venerate it.

    Their pre-NWOBHM influences continue to reign supreme in the best of ways, but this auditory backlash to all of the technology that we surround ourselves with on a day to day basis takes itself a bit too seriously for what most of us would come to expect from a Slough Feg record.

    Not the most fashionable influences, obviously, yet Digital Resistance feels more like real rebellion than a lot of modern metal.

    What I like about this album - from a band who I have not known about ever until today - is that they create rock/metal music which doesn'tWhat I like about this album - from a band who I have not known about ever until today - is that they create rock/metal music which doesn't blow me away by being too hardcore. Slough Feg remind me of some of the bands from the early 70s like Led Zeppelin, Alice Cooper, Jethro Tull and Queen. Very good stuff! Full Review »
