The occasional vocals dilute the atmosphere, softening the bionic techno edge of the best tracks, but on Dilate, Vessels sound like a band widening their horizons to impressive effect. [Apr 2015, p.112]

This is a solid attempt by a band in thrall to electronic music to redefine themselves, but it’s their love of this music rather than their ability to explore its limits that is communicated by Dilate.

The build up felt very much like a sunset, as the track got more intense, it felt like I was entering a crowd, alive and energetic. I was engulfed in the atmosphere. This feeling pushed through the entirety of the album. On tracks with vocal guests, the production tended to get weaker, but overall, this album was one I'm not going to put away anytime soon. Feels like you're riding your bike down the rode at night with bright, white lights reflecting off of the asphalt. Maybe you're being chased. Maybe you're chasing something. Either way, it's a thrill. Full Review »
