Everything [on Dismania] has weight. And makes just about anything (other than the examples cited above) that's been calling itself Retro/Garage/Psych Rock sound, suddenly, rather tame.

It may not seem like much, but 32 straight minutes of lyrics about rodents, dead bodies, and acid rain can get exhausting. But, however biting, the payoff is worth it with each individual song.

Though the sax draws you in, you'll stay for the trashy energy. [No.87 p.56]

The brute blast of aggression that Dismania impressively sustains to its conclusion begins at the very beginning with "Child".

  1. Raw, very raw energic Garage Punk album. I hear some speedy Sonic Youth influence (the noise) and The Psychedelic Furs (Chaotic Saxophone). Screams, noise, angry, driven, rebellious music. Post Punk fans; just jump on it! In my top 10 2012 album. Expand
