    25 years later and they still do good pop music. This is not for everybody.

    The album is half digital (modern, productionalized) and half analog (acoustic, soft). Digital + Analog = DNA. The best songs on this album are the digital ones: Passionate, New Love, Breathe, Don't Go Breaking My Heart, The Way It Was, and Is It Just Me. The public seems to agree, as the group got their 1st Grammy nomination in 17 years with Don't Go Breaking My Heart.     their weakest album by far. they have zero writing credits on this one. i'm mad because they been having writing credits on every album since backstreet's back album. i don't know how this album ended up with better scores than never gone&unbreakable. with that said breathe is the highlight on this album&one of their best this decade.

    There’s a down-to-earth sense of crisp, hooky economy à la Mendes and Puth, gentlemanly horniness mixed with bittersweet innocence they wear well, even as grown men who know what it’s like to soldier their way to hard-earned redemption.
