Most energetic release of this year. Perfect production in the face of Scott Storch and Murda Beatz is great.

this is the most underrated album of this decade its so many good tracks with a lot of deep messages and his word play and punchlines is on point how can everyone hate it so much this album is for sure better than to "to pimp a butterfly" and it also has a lot of good flows and he shows he really can spit and that nobody can **** with him and eminem is afraid of him

    I love this tape !
Better than Day69. He showed all his rapping abilities and I liked it. He could've left BEBE and MALA, but other than that.. A great project.

This album is carried by the guest appearances and beats. The contributions from A Boogie, Kanye West, and Nicki Minaj overshadow 6ix9ine completely, and the production make the songs into the hits they turn out to be.

Favourite tracks: TIC TOC, KIKA, MAMA, WAKA, FEEFA
Worst tracks: BEBE, MALA, TATI, WONDO, DUMMY

A lot of bangers on this album. One of my favorite guilty pleasure listens and 6ix9ine enlists the perfect features on this one, especially Gunna on "FEEFA" and Kanye and Nicki Minaj on "MAMA."

Possibly the most overhated album I've seen. Reviews like Pitchfork's clown the artist and not the art, and while this album is still quite mediocre, it's got some great highlights, such as 'STOOPID' 'MAMA' and 'KANGA', as well as the Tory Lanez featuring 'TATI'. The low points are incredibly low, but the high points are some of the funniest and most outrageous of his career so far.

The beats are great but 6six9nine's flow gets old really quick, and it doesn't help when he sings drenched in autotune in Spanish on some the tracks. Some tracks can be considered bangers. Stoopid is a great opener. Fefe is so bad so it's almost good. Kanga with Kanye is enjoyable. But that's mostly about it. It's not complete trash but it's not a good album either.

Dummy Boy has a handful of highlights, but 6ix9ine barely shows up for many of the tracks, leaving them to be made or broken by the features.

Gone are the hype songs like Gunmo that at least feel a bit original in their delivery and instead, he tries to replicate the dozens of sounds that trended throughout the year. All of his guest features, from Tory Lanez to two Kanye West verses, outshine him and are the only reason to hear the song. If you honestly needed a reason to ever listen to it. Expand

This album hardly feel's like a 6ix9ine album at times with how hard he relies on the features. You can take that for better or worse depending if you can stand the guy. This is pretty awful. If this is the future of hip hop, hip hop is in a bad place. A lot of the time he's barely even rapping, he's just screaming. It's just awful. The beats are bottom tier too. He doesn't have any impressive wordplay or good introspective lyrics, it's just trash.

6ix9ine might be the funniest rapper ever in social media, but what can you expect? His first album is garbage and it's easily can be described as annoying, vulgar, and retarded with no thematic significance whatsoever. Gucci Mane, Wacka Flocka Flame, and Chief Keef does it better than this rainbow headed clowb by delivering a killer soundtrack that bangs quite well.

6ix9ine has proven good in some ways, and only knows how to make music when it's with Nicki Minaj or Kanye West. The whole album full of partnerships, we see a solo song that can not be heard with its pessimistic compositions and horrible productions.

Dummy Boy is not only the worst album released of 2018 but is one of the worst albums of all time. He has no bars, no flow, no prescence, no storytelling ability, and the fact that this album is filled with guest rappers and they are all outrapping him and making it seem like he is a guest on his own album is laughable. 6ix9ine doesn't need more than five tracks to prove to us his total lack of artistic devotion and sense of rhyme. I admit that production can sometimes be outstanding as in 'MAMA' or in 'TIC TOC' but is way more often utterly redundant as in 'BEBE' or in 'FEFE'. Right now you may probably think that I am trying to invoke some demon or playing some childish game by scandering all these6ix9ine doesn't need more than five tracks to prove to us his total lack of artistic devotion and sense of rhyme. Right now you may probably think that I am trying to invoke some demon or playing some childish game by scandering all these unknown words. But I'm not, I'm just citing titles of diverse tracks on the album. The choice to only put two-syllable words as titles of tracks is for me the inescapable sign of the limits of 6ix9ine's thinking and ambitions. This project oozes laziness, inconsistency and immaturity from every hole. I'm citing 6ix9ine himself if you do not believe me:

"Y'all gotta move, give me some room, I'm 'bout to shoot
Boom! Everybody runnin' out the room
    Boom! Everybody beggin' "Don't shoot"
Boom! **** who the **** asked you?
You a bum, are you dumb? Try me, I got this gun
    Run, **** if I'm here, don't come
**** you was expectin' for me to hit
    That's a dub, I know you put a hole in that ****

(That's his first verse on 'WAKA (feat. A Boogie Wit da Hoodie)'). All along the project you keep that level of lyricism. All along the project we swim in the swampy and smelly waters of vulgarity and toxic masculinity. All along the project you are accompagnied by scadalous 6ix9ine's verses and awful voice. Hopefully he had the decency to put a lot of featured artists to join him in his selfish and self-centered violent bath of crap. Well - I suppose I could have deducted it from the level of inspiration and maturity oozing from the artwork cover...

This project is all about women, monay and superficiality. I truly didn't expected much from this but still was disappointed. So just go listen to 'MAMA' once or twice to harvest all the happiness and interest you could find in 'DUMMY BOY' and then please, for your sake, run away.

Dummy Boy would be better if it was worse. 6ix9ine doesn’t show any sign of knowing how to write a complete song, let alone curate a whole album. But he’s also too unimaginative to write anything so jaw-droppingly awful that it needs to be heard to be believed.

Dummy Boy is unlikely to disappoint 6ix9ine fans, but for everyone else, there's little to back up the hype and controversy associated with the self-professed "King of New York."
  3. 20
DUMMY BOY is an insufferable 13-track farrago of anything from rock riffs to calypso drums, all pinned by 6ix9ine’s obsessive use of the “n” word, along with every other negative trope found in the gangsta rap of the early Noughties. ... Avoid.
