    The album drifts by comfortably and could benefit from a few surprises, both tonally and musically. However, there are definite standout moments, such as “Oh Oh” and the bouncy “Angel”.

    There is a sameness to the tone and tempo of many of the tracks causing much of the album to blend together, but if the whole affair doesn't quite reach the artistic highs of earlier releases, the band certainly make good on their soothing intent.

    Ease My Mind has some sharper edges and fewer lush arrangements than the last Shout Out Louds album, 2013's equally excellent Optica, but the changes are slight. [No. 146, p.61]
