However, the slow burn reveals Swift’s most haunting album yet - a deeper dive lyrically and spiritually, a more indie and overcast venture than folklore was, and a masterpiece in beautiful melancholy and aching nostalgia.     Clearly Swift is in a moment of pure reflection with her life, consequently producing music that has no intention of being commercial or to be on the charts and that is great. Most of the songs have a structure of simplistic verses and choruses and melodies that sound strangely well applied, but in some cases like "Closure", they are really just strange.     Not all of the melodies captured my attention straight away but lyrically this album is incredible and so many songs grew on me to the point where there was a huge collection of songs I loved coming back to. It was a grower for me but now I can’t get enough of it.

    It's hard to be the sucessor of the great beatfull juggernaut folklore. That was Taylor Swift masterpiece, but evermore get's very close in every aspect. It's growing on me each listening.

    Listening to this album is like transporting yourself into a magical dream-like fantasy world as an outsider looking in at the different characters' lives with nothing but empathy to offer each one. A closing chapter and aptly termed sister album to folklore.

    Folklore is the younger, wide-eyed and socially anxious sister with an ambitious, passionate side. Evermore is the elder, has been through a lot but has been able to find happiness in the end. This album gives off the vibe of something fundamentally scarred, but there's also the feeling of "I've made it", content, calmed, accomplished. This is such a beautiful mood.

    This is an album for adults, full of the type of pain and loss that only someone who has come through the tunnel and can look back at it with clear eyes can write. A lot of people won’t understand it. A lot of high school kids who just lost their first love will think they understand it. But it’s a beautiful, intricate, heartbreaking ode to a nostalgic revisiting of ones past losses.

    evermore is Taylor Swift’s second surprise album this year, and one might say it is an early Christmas present. evermore serves as a sister album to folklore, released five months prior to this album. Having loved folklore so much, I was waiting all of December 13 to listen to the new album, and I downloaded it precisely at 9:00 PM, when it became available on Spotify. The next day, I used my break time chunks to listen to the full album, and I was extremely pleased with what I heard. If one were to call evermore “folklore 2,” that is extremely accurate. This means that the music is very different from Taylor Swift’s older stuff, but just as good as in folklore in most of evermore’s songs. Her lyrics in this album are also among her best. I wish that I could include all of my thoughts on each of evermore's songs, but that would go well above the character limit. Overall, I had a wonderful time listening to evermore, as it was a splendid continuation of its sister album, folklore. It was different enough than its predecessor to make it fun to listen to, but similar enough that it retained its spirit. Some standout songs are in this album, such as “crime” and “story.” evermore was a fantastic sequel to folklore and I really hope that Taylor Swift continues on in this new direction. Not only is the music that she creates extremely fun to listen to, but her lyrics are taken to a higher level not yet seen in her songs. As a result, both of her recent albums have been wonderful and have scored highly. In fact, for evermore, I have saved more songs off of this album percentage-wise than a great majority of others I have reviewed. I love the new sound that Taylor Swift has made for herself and this makes me extremely eager to listen to more content that she releases. I recommend evermore to all Taylor Swift fans, as well as everyone who enjoyed folklore.     Magnificent album. Although I feel that like its predecessor it goes backwards in the style of Taylor. Although it is not bad, since it manages to find itself in a reflective and artistic point that few artists today have.

    A great album throughout. The album starts with the beautiful willow, the video of which is just as beautiful as the song. The lyrics on this album are some of Taylor’s best.

    "Evermore" is another masterpiece made by Taylor Swift. "willow" with fascinating and charming instrumental opens the album. "gold rush" and "long story short" add a good pinch of beautiful pop with thoughtful lyrics. There are some song that may make you think about some your major questions of you life like "tolerate it", "happiness", "evermore". There is a good reminder of a country era"Evermore" is another masterpiece made by Taylor Swift. "willow" with fascinating and charming instrumental opens the album. "gold rush" and "long story short" add a good pinch of beautiful pop with thoughtful lyrics. There are some song that may make you think about some your major questions of you life like "tolerate it", "happiness", "evermore". There is a good reminder of a country era - " no body,no crime". Such songs as "marjorie", "closure" have really interesting sound and production, telling us about illicit affairs. "'tis the damn season" is one of the best song in the album, you can't stop putting on repeat this amazing story that found its place in Taylor's album.… Expand

It does feel like a collection of folklore outtakes which i can't decide whether it's due to the closeness in releases (eg.beach houses depression cherry and thank your lucky stars) but otherwise it continues to build in the achievements of folklore but like it's artwork suggests it's a happier version. Autumn after folklore's winter. I found itthis album is so monumental and gentle. It does feel like a collection of folklore outtakes which i can't decide whether it's due to the closeness in releases (eg.beach houses depression cherry and thank your lucky stars) but otherwise it continues to build in the achievements of folklore but like it's artwork suggests it's a happier version. Autumn after folklore's winter. I found it exceptionally charming like a conversation with an old friend. It's mixture of truth and fiction work so well in building this narrative. I enjoyed no body no crime (i actually gasped and laughed at appropriate moments) ,happiness felt like this is me trying pt.2:the recovery and tolerate it eviscerated me. Closure seemed to borrow grom now frequent collaborator bon iver in it's intro with influence from the percussion of fiona apple. It diverts anyone's expectations for tge song. abd we understand why she doesn't need their ckosure because tge entire notion is an illusion unlike this very real display of artistic genius.… Expand

    Folklore make me feels like she's started to go into the forest for adventure and she's keep telling stories about what she found in the forest as she keeps walking deeper. This album is like she's already walked into the most deep place of the forest and she finally found out the most magical part of the forest.     Taylor’s evermore is like a friendlier treat compre to its older sister folklore. The new album is good for celebrations, random family gatherings, friends night games... its just so perfect. Personal favorite - no body no crime.

    Even though we get a catchy moment of goofy, snarling country midway through, the album is a result of the emotional clarity that a year in quarantine provided. Swift has written about curdling relationships splendidly in the past, but there's a new dimension to her writing that wasn’t there before. Onward.
