More than the sum of its parts, the whole is wonderfully fresh and quite lovely. [Apr 2015, p.89]

Lipstate's ability to evoke surprising antecedents strengthens her music's universality. [Jan 2015, p.67]

Fantastic Planet is a world unto itself, just as carefully crafted but breathing its own breath, living its own life.

Easily the most joyful and extroverted of Lipstate's albums at this point, it also feels the most vibrant and engaging, gracefully exposing a world of endless blissful layers for the audience to stargaze upon.

Ultimately, Fantastic Planet is not an easy listen yet it rewards persistent immersive airing by gradually offering-up its manifold charms.

A strange brew of instrumentals both delightfully becalming and playfully boisterous.

A dynamically nuanced, nine-song set that conjures real-world wonders as convincingly as a doomed voyage to some imagined, far-flung galaxy. [Feb 2015, p.82]

"Sisters" and "Growing" display a tendency to let her fascination with the moving gears trump the narrative movement that marks her best material. But fortunately, such moments are few and far between.

Fantastic Planet is an achievement in advancing that voice to a clear-eyed place, where wonder and apprehension can peacefully coexist.

Now, it bases in Brooklyn (USA). Except music side, she make movie and video instalattion, so Fantastic Planet should strengthen any conceptual video.
Acting in a manner of Ben Frost, adding cosmism with synths, buzzing and experimental guitars (looking like late Pink Floyd), Lipstate creatures a picture of space. But it is not wide and not all - catching. It has lack of scope and additional pair of hands. You can feel, that this kind of music made just one person - track about dream sounds like track about dream. But a feeling of hypnotic experience during travel - the best present of this album.
