Dec 14, 2010Crystal has a pretty voice, these songs are so boring they put me to sleep! Very weak, country leaning album! So Crystal "Whatever happened With the good old rocking roll" sure is not on this album. Maybe should of got some pros to help with your so so writing skills! Disappointed fan.

Dec 14, 2010Despite occasionally treading some pretty unexciting territory, Farmer's Daughter is a very strong debut for Idol's folk-tinged Crystal Bowersox. Her songwriting is honest and thoughtful, a refreshing change from the typical post-Idol fare. Crystal might not blaze up the charts with her old-school sounds, but her future is very bright if this album is any indication.

Dec 20, 2010This would be a strong debut album from any artist, I don't listen to this type a music and I gave it an 8. Its my second favorite album for and Idol artist, the first being Allison Iraheta's debut from last year.

Dec 23, 2010I don't watch American Idol, but a friend urged me to listen to this girl's CD. I'm very impressed. Her song Arlene is worth the price of admission alone - it brings to mind early Lucinda Williams. Excellent work.

Jan 4, 2011She has a keen, finely honed pop instinct all her own.

Dec 20, 2010All in all, Farmer's Daughter is better than you might expect, which isn't to say it's great. Too many tracks aim straight for the middle.

Dec 13, 2010When the production and the outside songwriters stay out of her way, Bowersox expertly works the territory between folk and country.
