If you asked someone why they didn't like this, they'd probably say "The jokes are crude, they're just a parody band" Forget that. The melodies are catchy, the music is well performed. Steel Panther maybe the Motley Crue on crack, but their major-label debut is definitely a record you would want to listen to again and again until either your eardrums get numb or until you're just plain old sick and tired of listening to the record!!!!

Steel Panther have come up with a vulgar yet hilarious album that is a guilty pleasure to sing along with. Starr writes out of control lyrics about drugs and girls, Satchel writes the best riffs to go with them.

  1. Soft metal album that challenges Whitesnake, Bon Jovi and Van Halen. Funny...I think.

It's funnier than the Crue. And that's no mean feat. [Jul 2009, p.106]
  3. An exercise in taking a joke way too far.
