  1. It eases up on the rigorous deconstructivist tendencies that have so permeated the last two 'Lab records, taking a cue instead from the carefree effervescence typical of recent live encounters.

    The 'Lab's fondness for Latin exotica pushes the music well clear of egghead tedium.
  3. Stereolab engage in the funkiest, heaviest music of their career. While monotony still remains a passion, subtle psychedelic flourishes and thick percussion pumps add much needed verve.

    This is not my favorite Stereolab album but it is certainly in my top 5... ok, maybe my top 7. This album is likely salvaging some of the favorites that could not make it on to previous albums. Given you can find it most anywhere for under $5 it is certainly worth your consideration.
