There's not much to say about this album that can't be said about the rest of their discography. It's similar to most of what they've done, though it's more like their pre-48:13 material. The songs and the lyrics are fun, though at times a bit cheesy. It's what you'd expect from Kasabian. They've definitely improved on 48:13, and I think this is another great album from them.

It's a good, fun indie rock album.

This is undoubtedly up their with their other albums and once again they are making great crowd-pleasing songs. The album spans from the crazy lyrics of 'comeback kid' to the summertime anthem 'wasted.' They will always be a brilliant band due to their energetically charged performances, fun lyrics and unique personalities.

Nothing about this album has even attempted to take the distinctive sound of Kasabian to new heights. There are glimmers of musical hope (the very begging of 'Are You Looking for Action', for instance), but as a whole the album falls flat.

The 48:13 album was the weakest album from them in my opinion, In for crying out loud they are coming back to the kasabian sound roots, even that the album sounds like "kasabian" and does not have an evolution but a patent kasabian sound, this album is pretty strong and fun to heard, one of the best releases of the 2017 in my opinion. I think that at least 7 out 12 tracks are pretty awesome!

Kasabian at its best. An album filled with arena hits and good vibe songs. Ill Ray (The King), Twentyfourseven, Comeback Kid and Bless This Acid House are made to make the crowd go wild. Very solid album, with all the characteristics that make Kasabian what they are, a neo rock band, juggernauts of life performances and mystics with listeneable songs.

"For Crying Out Loud" follows "West Ryder..." as the best Kasabian album yet. In this record you've got anything you need: an awesome dance-rock track (Are You Looking For Action?), great rock songs, such as Bless This Acid House (best one on this record IMO), Ill Ray (The King) or Twentyfourseven, great pop songs, like Wasted (massive track) and You're in Love with a Psycho, very"For Crying Out Loud" follows "West Ryder..." as the best Kasabian album yet. Peppers-esque tune) or All Through the Night and memorable hooks like on Comeback Kid and Sixteen Blocks. This album's gonna keep you up all night. Expand

The album is like everything and nothing Kasabian done before, at the same time. It has everything from punching sounds like Ill Ray to chilling sounds like All Through The Night. 10+

Since 2011's excellent "Velociraptor", Kasabian seem to have lost the run of themselves. They weren't even bothered naming their last album 2014s distinctly average 48:13 and 2017's "For Crying Out Loud" sounds like they put about as much effort into their lastest bunch of songs. If you weren't aware of just how good Kasabian can be on their day, this latest offering would be inoffensive, alt rock by numbers. When you know this is the band who have produced the likes of "Fire", "Clubfoot", "Underdog" and "Days Are Forgottten" then you know this is lazy stuff. One major plus of this is the expanded version comes with an excellent live album which is essentially a greatest hits. This is well worth the entry free. The record itself, while not awful, is weak enough by the standards they've set in the past. Expand

John - I am a big fan of Kasabian - I've eagerly gone out and bought some of their previous albums on release day before, and thoroughly enjoyed them. Unfortunately I am glad I didn't go out and buy For Crying Out Loud. A very disappointing effort from the lads from Leicester. There were a few tracks that did them justice (You're In Love With A Psycho, Ill Ray, Put Your Life On It) but onJohn - I am a big fan of Kasabian - I've eagerly gone out and bought some of their previous albums on release day before, and thoroughly enjoyed them. Unfortunately I am glad I didn't go out and buy For Crying Out Loud. A very disappointing effort from the lads from Leicester. There were a few tracks that did them justice (You're In Love With A Psycho, Ill Ray, Put Your Life On It) but on the whole, this was a very dull and uninspiring listen. Lyrically it wasn't as good as we've come to expect, and musically there wasn't much in the way of variation at all.

It's sad that I've literally just listened to this and yet I can't remember what half of the tracks sounded like. I don't know what's happened with them on this record but it's just lacking the catchy hooks and melodies that make them Kasabian. All I can say is that I hope their next installment is better. Definitely not their best work, to say the least.

Tilly - This was a very frustrating album. Aside from a couple of good-ish songs, it was just so bland! Kasabian are capable of so much more than this, as they've previously shown, but there wasn't really anything memorable about For Crying Out Loud at all. Lyricism is not exactly their speciality, but they left a lot to be desired on this record, and both vocally and instrumentally this was boring. You're In Love With A Psycho and Bless This Acid House are the only songs from this that I will even remember, let alone listen to again. I hope they come back as strong as ever with their next album and show that they haven't lost their touch, because currently it feels like they have.

This is an album full of energy, pleasure and above all great and memorable melodies. With this new effort, Kasabian remains the last and only one britrock band with songs to sing along, as if we were in the end of the nineties. Their best album?

Simply put, For Crying Out Loud works because the band knows exactly what its listeners want.

From the headlong punk-meets-acid-house charge of Ill Ray (The King) to the stadium campfire singalong of Put Your Life on It, Kasabian deliver hooks, headshots and upper cuts in a barrage of punchy sounds and aggressive attitude.

It is not even sprawling and directionless but just painstakingly mediocre throughout.
