  • Summary: The second album for the English band was produced by Noisia.
Score distribution:
  1. Positive: 1 out of 6
  2. Negative: 4 out of 6
  1. The resultant chaos is addictive, energizing and catchy as hell. [Feb 2010, p. 108]
  2. Drum and Bass dons Noisia have been roped in on production duties and they've put a fair deal of weight into tracks that might otherwise have sounded flat.
  3. This album is only worthy of more than one star for provoking a reaction. That, at least, is better than being merely another dull shade of musical grey. But only marginally.
  4. Just when you think they’ve already smithereened the silly barrier, what the world needs most swiftly turns up: Hadouken! go Auto-Tune.
  5. This aggressive tone is a constant throughout and pretty much breaks new boundaries in sounding absolutely ridiculous.
  6. For the most part, the album rehashes an overdone genre full of blustery, unoriginal, cryptic lyrics. [Mar 2010, p.94]
Score distribution:

Wow, do critics stink nowadays. But what's so interesting is that whatever they say, masterpiece or piece of poop, I seem to always like it.

Despite what the critics say, this album is fun and full of energy. Is it the best thing in the world? Hardly. However, last year the critics trashed Prodigy's "Invaders Must Die" and it was one of my favorite albums of 2009. Hadouken! isn't quite on par with that, with a few flawed tracks and one downright terrible one (the closer "Lost"), but everyone I've let hear it has gone out to buy it. Expand

This album is catchy as hell. Realy love this, and I do not understand the bad reviews. Everything is full of energy, and I can say that I like this album even more then the first one they made! Expand

Hadouken's second album could only be one of two things: a clone from the debute album, or something completely different. Fortunately, they took the third way. Somehow, managed to do something new and keep their own style intact. For the masses (homage to Depeche Mode?) is a fast paced album. The songs are well composed, especially the electro sequences. The different styles and rhythms blend in a way i can not tell if it is rock, electronic or hip-hop music. Hadouken is the proof that bands/artists don't need to be stuck on specific genres. Highly recommended for all the masses. Expand
