Mar 31, 2018For anyone who loved AlbertHammond Jr.'s work with the Strokes, you'll probably enjoy this album a lot as well. Hammond isn't necessarily doing much different on this album but in terms of songwriting and consistency, this is a great album. Definitely worth a listen.

Mar 29, 2018Hammond seems to have a new lease on life, and that ebullience and curiosity are very much what makes Francis Trouble such a thrilling listen.

Mar 26, 2018Call this a mismatch, a contradiction, if you want, but only he can fully acknowledge this seriousness, this complexity. And if this is a ‘coming-to-terms-with’-type record, it does suggest he is starting that process, even if--musically--the progression remains somewhat tender.
