MonkeyfishFakeJan 20, 2007For a band sand to pride itself of individuality, most of this album sounds embarrassingly like the drumcrash-lonevocal interludes that pepper the more recent flaming lips releases. That's not to say it isn't interesting, just those were alway my least favourite parts of the recent flaming lips albums.

Friend and Foe follows through on the potential of their unique sound, proving their wildly great debut was no fluke.
