  • Summary: This is the third album for the now-23-year-old singer (and former Cinderella). Rodney Jerkins handles most of the production chores on this 17-track disc.
Score distribution:
  1. Positive: 3 out of 10
  2. Negative: 0 out of 10
  1. Her deep, warm voice now has a scratchy, evocative edge that suggests maturity and the high price that often comes with it.
  2. Brandy gets an A+ for effort, even if Full Moon falls slightly short of that grade.
  3. Full Moon is perched perfectly between the interesting and the mundane and is in equal parts either.

After a sequence of fierce, squelching avant-R&B, Jerkins makes his excuses and leaves Brandy with some old hacks and their dispiriting, saccharine ballads. [May 2002, p.89]

One of the very best R'n'B albums to date, Brandy is the best vocalist/entertainer of the naughties. No album fillers, you can tell Brandy and her team put real genuine effort into each track. Expand

Not being a big fan of Brandy's, I was quite reluctant to pick this one up. I am SO glad I did. Her life is maturing beautifully, and it shows on this disc. Underrated is definitely the word of choice to describe it. "Wow" and "Come a Little Closer"glow sublimely, "All in Me" is pure sexiness with its groaning bassline, and her ballads such as "He Is","Nothing", and especially "Love Wouldn't Count Me Out" are breathtaking. Music rarely forces me to tears, but "Love Wouldn't..." does everytime I listen to it. I sincerely hope she continues on her path to true happiness. Collapse

Great album. A lil too much of Jerkins'electronic hops-skips-and jumps, but it keeps you funky and the ballads really shine. "When you touch me" is the best Brandy ballad ever!! Expand
