Better than his first album, but he still need to do a lot of work. This album it's not original, full of dance songs without a meaning, really commercial, i found the lyrics stupid, but musically have some really good tracks like "It girl", the only song that did not have a electronic beat, and have actually not stupid lyrics, "X" a perfect song for the clubs, with stupid lyrics. Derulo in the album misuse samples less than the previous album, but he still do it in songs like "Don't Wanna Go Home" and "Fight for You". I give 5 to this album, i wanna be kind with him for the last time Expand

On this record we hear very generic and undefined sound from Derulo again. The best songs are dance-y "Breathing", Caribbean styled "Fight For You" and "Don't Wanna Go Home" that uses the Robin S song "Show Me Love". The rest are complete fillers.

Autotune is used to correct Jason Derulo's less than satisfactory album.

For all that, there's some likable listening here, but Derulo hasn't yet found a distinctive sound.

Derulo's still saying nothing--which is fine, since these are hooky, club cuts--but it's the talking louder that's the issue.

"Quite listenable" sums up most of Future History.
