This Future album should not be over an hour long. This album should of been 11 songs atmost.

An overlong marathon of mostly generic trap. Future doesn't bring nearly enough to the table to keep me entertained.

Future continues to stick with his well-establishing formula, and it's starting to get boring. The songs are uninspiring, uninteresting, and uninventive. There's not stand-out bangers like "Mask Off" or "F** Up Some Commas." Instead there's unimpressive melodies and boring lyrics, and Future sounds like he's making the same filler track again and again for the whole hour.

Some really cracking tracks on here. Future may be the king of writing catchy, trap flavoured bangers, churning out a great deal here, especially tracks like Talk S**t Like a Preacher, F&N and Faceshot. as a full album, it's a bit of a slog to get through, as Future is not diverse enough to carry an album of this length, even with multiple features. But, the hits more than make up for the lulls, and this album's middle core section is great, even if it starts and ends relatively weak. None of the tracks on here are especially bad, but sometimes they become hard to separate in the memory. But still, Future's music is so catchy that it can stick in your head for days on end, even without listening too the album in that time. Expand

Future clearly has something to stand on the edge, right between 'I'm delivering the constant same effortless job' and 'I try to be authentic and I'm not afraid to show sensitive and varied parts of myself'. On this project it is totally the case according to me: there are numerous boring, repetitive and shallow tracks as 'Faceshot', 'Overdose' or 'Unicorn Purp' but on the opposite FutureFuture clearly has something to stand on the edge, right between 'I'm delivering the constant same effortless job' and 'I try to be authentic and I'm not afraid to show sensitive and varied parts of myself'. On this project it is totally the case according to me: there are numerous boring, repetitive and shallow tracks as 'Faceshot', 'Overdose' or 'Unicorn Purp' but on the opposite Future also gave birth to interesting, deep and meaningful songs like 'Baptiize', 'Krazy But True' or 'Temptation'.

What I disliked the most about this album, as many other users noted, is that it is far too long. An album this long only contributes to underline its terrible lack of consistency. Future desperately tried to give us both (few) content and bangers but in the end of the day his work is not stable nor solid on its foundation.

I thought it was great that he thought this project to be about him and in this case not multiplying the guests and appearances. Because the tracks with Travis Scott and Young Thug + Gunna seem to be the most superficial and uninteresting of the whole project to me. Certainly, Future still has (and apparently will have for a long time) its own creativity and its capacity to strike our curiosity. But how long can we put up with his repetitiveness and mercantile approach to music without each of his projects making our ears throw up? How can an artist manage to become so undisputed despite the fact that he continues to compose similar tracks around similar topics since 2010? And yet, people (sometimes me too, I don't deny it) continue to adore his work and personality. We, lovers of Future's music, should meditate on that point.

He can croon and autotune his way through some songs that are easy to ride to while faking it though--he ATL Jacob laced “Rocket Ship,” the Jacob and Jambo co-produced “Stick to the Models,” and the mellow radio friendly “Tricks On Me” from Nineteen85. Future has plenty of swagger and personality, knows all the right producers to take his style and make it sparkle, and has little problem serving his fan base exactly what they want.

This is rain-choked pain music, inspirational negativity, hypnotic blood moon melodies over crack-slanging boasts. [Mar 2019, p.65]

If Future had simply focused on these standouts, The Wizrd could be impeccable. However, given its runtime and filler moments, this remains yet another serviceable trap buffet that would benefit from some trimming to maximize impact and allure.
