Apr 9, 2018Geography feels like the start of something. It's not necessarily going to break big, at least not yet; there's no big pop single here, there's very little crossover potential. Nothing here is going to become ubiquitous. Even so, you can see it coming for Misch, maybe an album or two down the road.

Apr 9, 2018Occasionally, Geography grows monotonous, but derivative it is definitely not. There’s something undeniably unique about the tone of Tom’s voice--precise yet effortless--and his guitar skills are prodigious.

UncutApr 2, 2018Impressive stuff. [May 2018, p.30]

Apr 2, 2018Geography has much that appeals, not least that it’s one of those rare records that doesn’t fit neatly in to one genre. With it, Misch has cemented his place as one of the UK’s top independent producers of the moment, and looks set to only grow in confidence.

MixmagJul 6, 2018A pretty heady blend of neo-soul, funk, jazz, boom bap and house, but overall things veer a little too close to the vanilla here. [Apr 2018, p.91]

May 22, 2018The album is extremely easy to listen to--so much so that it can veer slightly into monotonous territory--but it’s a soundscape that is impossible to dislike.
-
Apr 5, 2018The album is largely built around two (very similar) styles, and can blend into one cloying whole, but this music is built for the summer. It’s tailor-made for being on in the background while you drink, dance, barbecue and copulate your summer away. On that level, it all works.

Apr 11, 2018It’s an overridingly pleasant listen, but that pleasantness is too often maintained by featureless production and other manifestations of Misch’s risk-averse instincts.
