Although they've dropped two full-lengths since then, PB&J haven't recaptured that ubiquity. But Gimme Some, their sixth album, is crammed with winsome tunes.

There's no whistling, but there are plenty of stick-in-your-head moments. At the end of the day, that's what we want from them.

Gimme Some's relentless melodicism arrives with a harder edge than the dreamy naivete that powered "Young Folks," but the results frequently feel just as fine. [Jun 2011, p.93]

Two years later, the trio return with Gimme Some, a punk record that transmogrified itself into a pop-rock effort fueled by many drunken nights.

  1. A great pop album that ranks right up there with Writers Block. All the songs are plum full of hooks galore. Guaranteed to make even the most jaded hipster sing along. Collapse
  2. While not their most original album, this is defenatly their most enjoyable and accesable to date. It's also very varied, with everything from slower rockers like ''Down Like Me'' to the in-your-face punk-rock of ''Breaker Breaker''. I defenatly recommend it. Expand
