In making epic but intimate anthems, Milagres haven't reinvented the wheel, but these are beautiful, romantic songs to learn and sing.
  2. Glowing Mouth is so subtly soaring it could restore words such as "atmospheric" and "portentious" to the rock lexicon.

Glowing Mouth is a polished, well-arranged album that could find a happy home in countless collections.

Swimming in catchy melodies and tantalizing music (along with Wilson's vocal abilities), it may be difficult to select a favorite track within Glowing Mouth--but it's quite easy to enjoy.

Glowing Mouth is as emotionally jolting and cosily reassuring as a night in with a David attenborough boxset.

Glowing Mouth isn't the ultimate revelation it sets out to be, but Milagres put on a charming show.

Glowing Mouth's general disillusionment anchors its sprawl.

Without breaking any new ground, Glowing Mouth shows there's a bit more of them than that [sounding like Coldplay's Chris Martin]. [Mar 2012, p.112]

Quietly dramatic and, at best, lyrical.

Milagres have on their hands an album that ultimately forsakes its momentum for a lack of ideas; the highs are certainly high, yet the lows eventually take over the asylum.

Glowing Mouth illustrates Wilson's impressive, technically precise vocal diversity, if not necessarily his range.

While Milagres may sound like a lot of music fans' favorite bands, it's hard to imagine anyone preferring this record to the real deal.

A pleasant listen, but it's hardly fresh.

You're left wondering how much more impressive Wilson's stroking pipes might sound with less gauche material. [Feb 2012, p.92]

I listen to Milagres but I hear Coldplay.
